Celebrating a Milestone in Our Olean Center Family

We are thrilled to share a special achievement by one of our own! Gladys E. Richter Hernandez, a devoted mother who raised two sons as a single parent, has published a heartfelt children’s book inspired by her journey with her autistic son, Gaby

📖 “Gaby’s Special World: Looking at Autism Through My Eyes” is now available on Amazon. Gladys wrote this book to raise awareness about autism from an early age, helping children and families embrace empathy, love, and understanding.

“Gaby has been my greatest teacher, showing me that unconditional love and small steps lead to great triumphs. I hope this book touches hearts and plants seeds of inclusion and hope in every family.”

For over a decade, the Richter Hernandez family received supportive services from our Children’s Department, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone with them.

Congratulations, Gladys, on this incredible accomplishment!
